Read any pet food label and the most important ingredient is the first one. Real meat is always the first ingredient in Harmony Farms, which means there is more meat than any other ingredient in our formulas. These highly digestible protein sources provide essential amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals for muscle development, energy and coat condition. What’s more, all are free of hormones, antibiotics and steroids.

Hearty whole grains like brown rice, barley and oats supply the complex carbohydrates that your cat needs for energy.

Fruit and vegetables provide essential phytonutrients, antioxidants and enzymes, plus natural vitamins, minerals and fibers that have been proven to promote health and wellness. They are also considered a highly digestible carbohydrate source.

Chicken or poultry by-product meals are the non-rendered, clean parts, other than meat, derived from slaughtered chickens or poultries. It includes, but is not limited to, lungs, spleen, kidneys, brain, blood and more. Ingredients listed as chicken or poultry by-product meals are commonly lower in cost than fresh meat.

Preservatives like BHA, BHT, ethoxyquin, propylene glycol provide no nutritional value and have been associated with possible toxic side effects. Many pet food brands resort to artificial colors and flavors in an attempt to make food look and taste better.

These ingredients have been known to cause allergies in cats.

Corn gluten and wheat gluten are incomplete sources of protein. They do not contain the complete amino acid profiles specific for cats and are not as easily digestible as meat-based proteins.
